Peri to Post offers individual counselling sessions for women seeking emotional well-being and stress support during peri/menopause. Sessions provide a safe and supportive space for you to explore your thoughts, emotions and practically work through mood symptoms that can arise from hormone fluctuations and stress. Together we work on identifying lifestyle changes that can be made to support your mental well-being and menopause resources are offered to help you feel better in control of your health choices. I aim to be a supportive guide so you can be your own best advocate - this includes connecting you with menopause specialist GP's and services if required. Helping you cut through the 'noise' and get access to the best care during menopause is an important part of your overall mental well-being. I am also a 'This Way Up' clinician and can connect you with CBT cognitive behavioural therapy online programs for you to complete from the comfort of home with support and check ins from me along the way. It is a great way to enhance and support the work we do together in counselling sessions. If you have any questions about counselling, check out the FAQ's page or email hello@peritopost.com.au
I look forward to meeting you.

Therapeutic arts sessions tailored to support women through the various stages of menopause. These sessions are designed to help you express and process your feelings creatively and engage in art making for stress release in a kind and supportive space.
Each session typically begins with a grounding body scan or Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) exercise. This mindful practice encourages relaxation by guiding you to focus on your body’s sensations, helping to become more attuned to any areas of tension or discomfort. Starting with these techniques can alleviate physical stress and set a calm, centered tone for the session.
Engaging in therapeutic arts can involve exploring themes related to ageing, identity and sense of self. The act of creating provides an outlet for expression and can also help alleviate symptoms like anxiety. I suggest practical ways to use creativity as an outlet for stress relief, the idea of doing more of what brings you joy.
** Note - art supplies needed for sessions are not supplied and must be purchased by you.
** Required supplies - coloured pencils, oil pastels, water colour paint palette + plain A4 paper : these supplies can be found at Officeworks for under 20AUD.

Access to evidence-based peri/menopause resources, including journals and workbooks as a supportive tool to compliment therapy. These resources are grounded in the latest research and offer practical strategies to help manage physical, emotional and psychological changes that often accompany peri/menopause.
Journals provide a safe space for self-reflection, allowing you to track symptoms, explore thoughts and emotions and identify patterns over time. Writing can be a powerful tool for processing feelings of anxiety, mood swings or changes in identity. Guided prompts can help build mindfulness skills, self-compassion and personal growth during this phase of life.
Workbooks are structured, action-oriented and provide step-by-step exercises to build coping skills, enhance self-awareness and build emotional well-being. With a focus on techniques like cognitive-behavioural strategies, mindfulness and stress management, you are invited to take an active role in your health and healing.
Having access to these resources between counselling sessions can provide continuity of support, reinforce your goals and offer a sense of control over your peri/menopause mental health and symptoms. Click the 'Shop' button to find printable/instant download workbooks and journals.
